TELLER COUNTY, CO – Human remains found in the chimney of a Woodland Park cabin are those of a teenager who was reported missing seven years ago.
Dental records were used to determine the remains are those of Joshua Maddux, who was 18 when he was reported missing in 2008. A coroner says Maddux was probably trying to shimmy down the chimney when he got stuck.
Chuck Murphy, who owns the cabin, was tearing down the building when his crew found the body last month. The structure had been unoccupied for a decade.
