Violent home invasion in southwest Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Two men and a woman are behind bars for their roles in a violent home invasion in southwestern Colorado Springs. 

Four males forced their way into a house on south Tejon on Monday, and held two people at gunpoint. One of the occupants was hit twice with a claw hammer, but there were no serious injuries.

The intruders fled with the victims' electronics. Police later spotted their get-away car near Chelton and Pikes Peak. They arrested 18-year-old Alexander Whitehead, 20-year-old Christopher Cervantez, and 20-year old Samantha Sellers.

Additional arrests are possible.
