COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – More details have been released about the weekend shooting at the Hobby Lobby on 8th Street.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says that two deputies, Sgt. Shane Mitchell and Keith Duda, had received a tip that a wanted man was in the store.
When they arrived they found 48-year old Brian Lowe. Upon contact, the suspect produced a knife and a physical struggle began. That’s when Sgt Mitchell shot the suspect.
Lowe is expected to survive and now faces charges of attempted murder. Both deputies have been cleared to return to duty.
