COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A verdict has been reached in a lawsuit tied to the unsolved disappearance of Christopher Abeyta, a baby boy who was taken from his Colorado Springs home nearly 30 years ago.
The Abeyta family was sued by Emma Bradshaw, a woman who allegedly had an affair with Christopher’s father. The jury sided with Bradshaw, who filed a defamation lawsuit after information was posted about her on Facebook. She argues that the Facebook information, along with a letter sent to a former employer, got her fired, and is preventing her from getting another job. The jury awarded $155,000 in damages.
Christopher Abeyta went missing from his bedroom in July of 1986. He was never found, but his family continues searching for clues.
