COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A man suspected to be an accomplice to the 2013 assassination of Tom Clements, the Executive Director of the Department of Corrections, appears to have taken aim at another person connected to the DOC.

34-year-old Thomas Guolee is hospitalized after an attempted burglary and shootout with Colorado Springs Police last week.

Guolee is a reported member of a notorious white supremacist gang, and was an associate of Evan Ebel, the man who killed Clements.

On Wednesday, El Paso County deputies responded to burglary on Sierra Springs Drive. Goulee tried breaking into a house that belongs to a former Department of Corrections employee. Guolee began shooting, sped off, and crashed, and was shot by authorities.

Guolee is due in court next week.
