COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A Colorado Springs man is due in court today after allegedly spitting blood into a police officer’s face.
The suspect, Dan Martin, was injured as part of a Saturday disturbance on Lyncrest Drive and was taken to a hospital. On the way, police say he spit blood into the face of an officer and claimed to have AIDS.
At the hospital, the suspect kicked another officer in the head while he was being restrained.
Martin is being held on charges related to the disturbance and assault on the officers.
