COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Springs Police want to talk to anyone with information about a bizarre crime involving sexual assault and a homemade bomb.
34 year old Matthew Lopez was arrested last week after a woman turned up at a hospital after being assaulted.
In his home, police found an explosive device.
Authorities have also linked his full-size Chevy van to the investigation, but they have not said why.
It’s white, with red and blue stripes, and may have formerly been used by Robinson Dairy.
Lopez is now free on bond.
