A deadly officer involved shooting earlier this year has been ruled justified.
On February 5th multiple agencies were attempting to arrest 19-year old Manuel Zetina, who was wanted for vehicular theft. The district attorney’s office says Zetina shot detective Micah Flick, deputy
Scott Stone, and officer Marcus Yanez before any law enforcement fired their weapons.
Bystander Thomas Villanueva was also hit by Zetina’s bullet. Deputy flick died from his injuries. Zetina continued to shoot at officers before being fatally wounded.
The DA has determined authorities were justified using deadly force.
