Construction began Tuesday on widening I-25 between Monument and Castle Sock.
The 350 million dollar project will add a toll lane in each direction, and expand highway shoulders.
Workers will begin the project in the Castle Rock area.
Expect some night-time lane closures, and the speed limit will be reduced to 65 miles an hour during construction, which should last until 2022.
