This is the 3rd consecutive passing team the Falcons will face as they host Nevada at 2pm Saturday on 740 KVOR. We’ll see how much Defensive Coordinator John Rudzinski adjusts his defense, if at all, from the last 2 weeks. It’s so tough to get to a quarterback in the shotgun, with just a 3 or 4 man rush. The Falcons may have to blitz a lot more to help their secondary….have really enjoyed watching Free Safety Jeremy Fedejelem and Cornerback Milton Bugg the 3rd…Love how Air Force is playing rush defense. They fill gaps and close quickly…Wasn’t quite sure why last week Arion Worthman was put in at Quarterback for Isaiah Sanders in the second half for a few drives. Worthman’s ball handling wasn’t good and resulted in one turnover. I still think he can help Air Force. Sanders has been steady, but last week probably had too many rushing attempts (26) and only gained 58 yards. His run production needs to improve. Sanders is averaging only 2.9 a carry. Worthman is at the moment the better runner. But Sanders has thrown the ball well so far, (17-30-294 1 td 1 int.)….Really like Kadin Remsberg at tailback. He had 94 yards rushing last week on 17 carries. And he gives the Falcons something they sorely lack-speed to get to the corner….And if I’m Mike Thiessen, I find a way to get Z Wide Receiver Ron Cleveland more touches. He makes things happen. He had 7 carries for 47 yards rushing and caught 4 passes against Utah State. He’s a breakaway threat. Gotta get him the ball 15-18 times a game, no?…A big key Saturday, is how well the Falcons Offensive line plays. Nevada is #1 in the conference in tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The O-line has to keep the Wolfpack out of the backfield.
