Tragedy Sunday on Pikes Peak. Motorcyclist Carlin Dunne died while racing during the 97th running of the Pikes Peak Hill Climb.
Dunne was approaching the summit at around 10:30 Sunday morning when his cycle appeared to go over the edge of the road.
Ambulances quickly took Dunne to a nearby hospital but he was pronounced dead.
Dunne was 36. He is the 7th racer to die on Pikes Peak. No official word on what led to the accident.
