Race officials with the Pikes Peak Marathon say the event will go on as scheduled August 23rd. Organizers say they are cancelling smaller events leading up to the race. For the event itself, there will be social distancing efforts made. Runners will go off in smaller groups than usual. It is unclear if race organizers will limit the number of entries. Its companion race, The Pikes Peak Ascent has been cancelled.
