COLORADO SPRINGS – Supporters of three suspects charged with rioting after a protest near a police officer’s home in the Pulpit Rock area stood outside the El Paso County courthouse Thursday afternoon, protesting the action.

36-year-old Sherrie Smith of Fountain, 33-year-old Lloyd Porche of Denver, and 20-year-old Charles Johnson of Colorado Springs were arrested on several charges. A group of protesters marched through the neighborhood of a CSPD sergeant on August 3rd, because of his involvement in the fatal shooting of De’Von Bailey last year.  A Grand Jury cleared the sergeant of any wrongdoing.
