COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs police were called to the Days Inn motel on Rusina Rd. north of Garden of the Gods Rd. on Monday morning at about 11:00 a.m. on reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found an unidentified person dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators arrested 28-year old Steven Walters on Tuesday and booked him into the El Paso County Jail. Walters is facing First-Degree Murder charges. The victim has not been identified as of yet.
