COLORADO SPRINGS -Animal law enforcement officers are now looking for the driver of a dark red, newer Ford 4×4 after they dumped a white Husky out of the SUV near Centre Court Park, near Marksheffel and Bradley Rd. on February 18th.

The dog was finally captured and taken to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region for treatment. Officials say the person seen leaving the dog behind could be charged with animal cruelty for abandoning the animal.

HSPPR is reminding everyone that pets can be safely surrendered at their facility. For more information on HSPPR, click here.
