El Paso County District 4 Commissioner Longinos Gonzales joined 740 KVOR Thursday morning to talk about the increasing disparity between covid 19 vaccines the county is receiving and the vaccines being distributed in Denver County. Gonzales says El Paso county recently received 50 thousand less vials of vaccine even though the populations of the two counties are similar. and he says the gap is widening. From the 50 thousand less last week Longinos said numbers from Wednesday now show El Paso county receiving 81 thousand less doses than Denver county. Longinos said El Paso county is 3rd from the bottom on a list of counties receiving less than their fair share, and Denver county is second from the top for counties receiving more covid 19 vaccine. Longinos has written a letter to Colorado governor Jared Polis demanding an investigation.
