Kenney released on parole

Wednesday, one day after having her sentenced reduced to 18 months for helping Patrick Frazee clean up after the murder of Kelsey Berreth, Krystal Kenney was released on parole. A Department of Corrections spokesperson says because the sentenced was shortened Kenney was past her mandatory release date. The Colorado Court of Appeals threw out her original 3 year sentence and ordered the judge overseeing her case to issue a sentence of no more than 18 months. Kenney had already served 14 months in jail. She helped Frazee clean up after he killed Kelsey Berreth 3 years ago. Kenney also had possession of Berreth’s cell phone and took it with her to Idaho, giving law enforcement the impression Berreth was still alive. Its not known if Kenney must stay in the state, or if she can return to Idaho where she was a nurse.
