COLORADO SPRINGS – Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a second fire in five months at Johnny’s Navajo Hogan on N. Nevada Avenue. CSFD was called to the restaurant/bar Tuesday afternoon and found heavy flames and smoke pouring from a building near the back of the property. It’s believed that the blaze may have been started by a homeless warming fire, though the investigation continues.

Firefighters were called to the business in January after a fire broke out in the laundry room in the basement. That fire closed the business and they haven’t reopened yet. Tuesday’s blaze may further delay the reopening.
Johnny’s Navajo Hogan has a fascinating history and it was built in 1935. You can read more about the business by clicking here.
