Covid cases down in El Paso County

 

New numbers Thursday morning from the El Paso County Department of Public Health on covid vaccinations and current case loads. So far in the county 250 thousand people are fully vaccinated, and over 300 thousand overall have received at least 1 vaccination. There are encouraging signs when it comes to covid cases. The numbers are down to their lowest levels in the last 4 weeks. 7 day incident rates are at 196 people per 100 thousand residents. The 7 day positivity rate is lower, down to 6.88 percent, although it remains higher than the overall state average of 4.53%. In the last 7 days 57 people have been hospitalized with covid in the county.
