A photo posted on social media appears to show 3 high school students re-enacting the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. The picture shows a student in blackface being held down on the ground by two other students, one of whom has his knee on the neck of the prone student. The photo is captioned, “Bye Bye Seniors.” It’s been confirmed the picture was taken on the grounds of Mead High School which is northeast of Longmont. School officials have begun an investigation. Students say they plan to protest Friday. Most plan to wear black to class Friday to show solidarity. The identities of the 3 students are unknown.
