COLORADO SPRINGS – We’ve learned more information about a homicide that happened last weekend on Saturday, June 22nd, near Fillmore Ridge Heights. Police were called about a body found in a field in the 3300 block of Fillmore Ridge Heights. When they arrived, they found the body of a man who suffered from some type of trauma.
The victim is being identified as 60-year old Clinton Stamp. His exact cause of death is unknown currently. The next day, CSPD arrested 23-year old Lakoda Smith, who is currently in the El Paso County Jail. Smith is facing a First-Degree Murder charge in the death of Stamp.
This is the 17th homicide investigation conducted by CSPD in 2021.
