COLORADO – The world’s largest meat supplier says it expects most of its facilities to be operational Wednesday after it was the target of a cyberattack. JBS was forced to shut down its beef plants in the U.S. and operations at other facilities were disrupted. Two shifts at the JBS plant in Greeley had to be canceled because of the attack, affecting about three thousand employees.
However, CEO Andre Nogueira says the company has made progress in resolving the cyberattack and that the “vast majority” of its operations will be up and running. Despite the disruption, the company was able to ship products from nearly all its facilities to customers.
