
DOUGLASS COUNTY — A jury has found Devon Erickson guilty of 46 charges, including first-degree murder in the 2019 Stem School Highlands Ranch shooting that left 18-year-old senior Kendrick Castillo dead and 8 others wounded. Erickson is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole. attorneys for Erickson argued the teen was pressured to participate in the shooting by his fellow suspect, Alec McKinney, who is now serving life in prison. Meanwhile, prosecutors said both teens were equal partners in the shooting. A sentencing date is not scheduled as of Tuesday afternoon.
