ARVADA –We’re learning more about a shooting Monday in Olde Town Arvada that killed 3 people, including a Police Officer. Officials say Officer Gordon Beesley ambushed by a person who expressed hatred of police officers. Police chief Link Strate identified the good Samaritan killed in the shooting as 40-year-old John Hurley of Golden. Officer Beesley will be remembered at a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m tonight at Peace Lutheran church at 5675 field St. The vigil will also be streamed on the city’s website and televised on the city’s channel 8. The suspect’s identity will be released through the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
