United to add job in Colorado

United Airlines is expected to add several thousand jobs in Colorado over the next several years. The company purchased 270 narrow bodied jets in an effort to upgrade its fleet. A spokesman says the new planes will offer more leg room in economy, greater overhead storage for carry on bags, and faster wifi. The planes will also be more fuel efficient.  Some of the new aircraft could be in service as early as next summer. United will have to hire almost 25 thousand people nationwide to maintain the new aircraft. Some 3 thousand of those jobs are expected to be added to the United Hub at Denver International Airport.
