Springs police finally caught and arrested a woman for motor vehicle theft Monday night. A man reported his car stolen in the 1600 block of W Kiowa street. Police saw the vehicle but the driver eluded officers and they gave up the chase. However the car was seen again, pulled over near Highway 115 and Norad road. The female driver was inside but refused to get out. Officers finally had to break a window and drag her out. She was taken into custody. The woman was identified as Katrina Apodaca. She has been charged with motor vehicle theft, driving under the influence and eluding.
