Prosecutors attack Redwine defense

More testimony Wednesday in the Mark Redwine trial in Durango. He is accused of killing his son Dylan in November of 2012. Dylan lived with his mother in northern Colorado Springs. Prosecutors brought a wildlife expert to the stand yesterday to counter arguments by the defense that Dylan left Mark Redwine’s home and was killed by a bear in the wilderness. Heather Johnson, a wildlife biologist says that likely did not happen for several reasons. She says most bears were hibernating that time of the year. She also added there was no food in the area and thus no reason for bears to have been in the region where Dylans remains were found in 2013. Mark Redwine is facing a charge of second degree murder.
