COLORADO SPRINGS – There were a lot of fireworks set off across neighborhoods in Colorado Springs on Sunday and the Colorado Springs police department says officers responded to dozens of complaints about illegal fireworks.
Police say they received 225 complaints on Sunday, and officers were able to respond to 96 of them. Twelve of the complaints resulted in a summons being issued. The department had five two-man units answering fireworks calls from 3 to 11 p.m. on Sunday.
