The murder trial for Mark Redwine continues

The murder trial for Mark Redwine continues this week in Durango with a forensic pathologist testifying on Wednesday that 13-year old Dylan Redwine’s death was a homicide. Dr. Robert Kurtzman told jurors the boy’s death was caused by an attack by another person, saying his skull showed evidence of blunt force trauma and knife wounds inflicted around the time he died.

Prosecutors are working to establish that Dylan was not killed by an animal or other means and that he was instead killed by his father. The boy from Monument disappeared in November of 2012 while visiting his father near Durango.

Mark Redwine faces the potential of up to 48 years in prison if convicted of Second-Degree Murder.
