CHAFFEE COUNTY — Barry Morphew’s preliminary hearing is underway in Chaffee County. He’s the man accused of murder in connection to the May 2020 disappearance of his wife Suzanne. In the courtroom Monday, an investigator said Suzanne had been having an affair for 2 years leading up to her disappearance. Meanwhile, a commander with Chaffee County Sheriff’s office said Suzanne suspected her husband Barry of having an affair and purchased a spy pen. Barry was arrested nearly a year after Suzanne’s disappearance on May 5th, 2021. Suzanne’s body has never been found.
