Security officers consider DIA strike

At Denver International Airport janitors staged a 1 day strike Friday demanding more staff and better pay. Their contract with Flagship Aviation Services expired on Friday. And now comes word that DIA’s private security force may go on strike. They are demanding more money, amid staffing shortages that have seen their numbers drop by more than half. They work for “Healthcare and High Risk Security Services.” Some workers claim they have only received a couple of dollars an hour increase after years of service. They will sit down at the negotiating table October 14th.
