Credit pepper spray and a quick-thinking victim for helping police nail a robbery suspect Monday. a customer had just left a business after shopping in the 1800 block of south Academy when a man walked up and tried to rob them. The victim was carrying pepper spray and used it on the suspect, who then ran off, and tried to carjack someone nearby. That didn’t work. Police found the suspect in a store bathroom trying to clean his eyes and took him into custody. 30 year old Jeremy Thomas faces a number of charges.
