If Colorado’s COVID situation doesn’t get better soon, the state could decide to stop all non-emergency surgeries. Governor Jared Polis made the announcement yesterday, adding that all hospitals might start rationing their care. El Paso County now has the highest number of hospitalized COVID patients in the state, and Colorado is now one of the highest per capita COVID case locations in the nation. The governor is considering asking for emergency medical teams to be sent here to help with staffing.
