A school shooting yesterday in Uvalde, Texas, left 19 children and two adults dead. The suspect is a teenager from the town and is also dead. This morning, many people are speaking out about the incident, including state and national leaders. Governor Jared Polis said last evening that hearts are heavy for the people in Texas. Colorado Senator Michael Bennet said on Twitter that something must be done about gun violence in America. Representative Lauren Boebert said that the loss of “innocent life” in the shooting broke her heart. President Joe Biden has called for action in the wake of the incident.
