Officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office say a man accused of sexually assaulting a child is behind bars after fleeing to South America a year ago. Bobby Stark was arrested in April of 2022 on multiple charges, including sexual assault on a child and retaliation against a witness or victim. He bonded out of jail a month later. Deputies say that’s when Stark fled the country, and after several months investigators received a tip regarding his whereabouts. This week stark was arrested in Guyana, South America. He’s currently in federal custody. The El Paso County Sheriff’s office is currently working with federal authorities on getting Stark back to the state to face charges.
