A Colorado couple is facing child neglect charges after authorities say they left their 3 children in a car while in a Panama City, Florida, restaurant. Shane O’Connor-Avion and Andrea Conklin had traveled to South Florida from Colorado. Police were first alerted about the incident by an off-duty officer. When they arrived, they found 3 children, ages 2, 3, and 7, in the back seat of the vehicle. The car was turned off, and the windows were cracked. First responders determined the 2-year-old was severely dehydrated. The parents are currently behind bars, and the kids are with the Department of Children and Family Services.
