Officer involved shooting in Monument

IN MONUMENT THURSDAY ONE MAN WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY ON AN OUTSTANDING WARRENT, AND MAY FACE OTHER CHARGES. MONUMENT POLICE RESPONDED TO A CALL FROM SOMEONE WHO SAID THEY HEARD A GUNSHOT IN A NEARBY HOME NEAR KNOLLWOOD DRIVE AND QUARRY LANE. THE SUSPECT LEFT THE RESIDENCE AND WAS SOON FOUND BY POLICE. THEY SAW HE HAD A WEAPON. THE SUSPECT REFUSED ORDERS TO DROP THE GUN. AN OFFICER THEN FIRED ONE SHOT BUT MISSED THE SUSPECT. HE WAS QUICKLY ARRESTED. NOBODY WAS HURT. THAT SUSPECT HAS YET TO BE INDETIFIED. THE COLORADO SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL TAKE OVER THE CASE.
