A suspect is in custody after a standoff Tuesday morning on the southwest side of the city. It happened at an apartment complex on Beaver Court near Cheyenne Boulevard and 8th Street. During their investigation, authorities discovered a victim was being held against her will. Officers found her with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect—who is not yet identified—refused to come out of the apartment, prompting a standoff. The surrounding area was placed on a shelter-in-place order, and after 4 hours, officers were able to take the suspect into custody.
