Job vacancies down statewide

A NEW REPORT RELEASED MONDAY SHOWS JOB VACANCIES IN COLORADO ARE DROPPING. THE REPORT, WRITTEN BY THE  COLORADO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND ASPEN TECHNOLOGY LABS SHOWS IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF THIS YEAR JOB VACANCIES ACROSS COLORADO WERE DOWN 8%. FORT COLLINS SHOWED THE LARGEST DROP AT 14% FOLLOWED BY BOULDER AT 12%. COLORADO SPRINGS JOB VACANCIES WERE DOWN BY 10% IN THE SECOND QUARTER. AUTHORS OF THE REPORT SAY IT’S A GOOD SIGN FOR COLORADO BECAUSE IT MEANS JOBS ARE AVAILBLE AND JOBS ARE BEING FILLED. THE REPORT ALSO SAYS COLORADO SPRINGS HAS THE 3RD HIGHEST MEDIAN SALARY IN THE STATE AT 60,164 DOLLARS. BOULDER HAS THE HIGHEST. DENVER IS SLIGHTLY AHEAD OF THE SPRINGS.
