A Pueblo man has received a 12-year prison sentence in connection to drug and firearm charges. According to the plea agreement, in September of 2021, Leonard Cordova fired several shots from his driveway at an individual while they were behind the wheel. Cordova was arrested and then released on bond. The agreement says a week later, Cordova was driving in Pueblo when he fired shots at two people inside a moving vehicle. The bullets struck the victims, who were treated at a local hospital. Cordova was arrested again and released on bond. according to records, In April of 2022, Cordova was taken into custody by the FBI and accepted a plea deal admitting to distributing meth and heroin. last week, Cordova pleaded guilty to two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, in addition to two counts of distributing a controlled substance.
