City Council denies appeal, Launchpad is a go

TUESDAY NIGHT COLORADO SPRINGS CITY COUNCIL DENIED AN APPEAL TO STOP AN APARTMENT COMPLEX FOR TROUBLED YOUTH. COUNCIL APPROVED THE PLAN FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF “THE LAUNCH PAD” A 50 UNIT APARTMENT COMPLEX WHICH WILL BE BUILT ON THE WEST SIDE NEAR 19TH AND UINTAH. THE NON-PROFIT “THE PLACE” IS OVERSEEING THE NEW FACILITY. THE FACILITY IS DEISGNED FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 18-24. THEY HOPE TO BEGIN CONSTRUCTION SOMETIME THIS FALL.
