We’re learning new details after a crash Tuesday night involving a Colorado Springs police officer. Officers were called to a rollover crash at Woodmen and Commerce Center Drive just before 2 p.m., following an investigation authorities learned a vehicle was heading westbound when it struck an officer in an unmarked car. Detectives say the westbound vehicle rolled multiple times and the driver was ejected. Both drivers were transported to a hospital for treatment. The detective has minor injuries. Meanwhile, the other driver is in serious condition. Investigators say drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
