A man is facing multiple charges after walking into the El Paso County Courthouse Tuesday morning with a gun. Deputies say 42-year-old Joshua Cordova was carrying a concealed handgun when he was approached by security and became combative. Officers deployed a taser while attempting to arrest him. Authorities say two EPSO employees were injured during the struggle. Cordova was taken to the hospital before he was booked into jail on several charges, including 1st-degree assault and possession of a weapon by a previous offender. The sheriff’s office says members of the public are prohibited from carrying firearms and weapons in court and probation facilities within the 4th judicial district.
