Officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office say a 42-year-old inmate has died while in custody. Jamin Robertson was in the medical unit at the El Paso County jail when he was found unresponsive in his cell on Monday. Deputies say life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. According to investigators, Robertson was transported to a hospital on August 29th for medical issues and was returned to jail on September 2nd. Details on the cause of Robertson’s death will be released by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office pending the completion of an autopsy.
