A major intersection is back open after a serious crash Tuesday afternoon on the southeast side of the city. All eastbound lanes of Airport Road were closed between Chelton and South Academy for several hours for the investigation. Authorities say one person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A second person was taken to the hospital, details on their condition are unknown. Fortunately, there was a fire station nearby, and crews were able to quickly get to the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
