A Colorado Springs man has pleaded guilty to 2 counts of second-degree murder in connection to the death of his parents nearly a year ago. Authorities say Cody Parker called authorities and admitted to stabbing his parents at a home on Dancing Horse Drive near Woodmen Road on September 23rd, 2022. When officers arrived, they found Deborah Parker-Lykins and Duane Lykins suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victims were transported to a hospital where they died. Parker was arrested the same night. Court records indicate he initially pleaded not guilty to the 6 charges he was facing, including two counts of murder, but on Tuesday accepted a plea deal. Parker’s sentencing is set for December 12th.
