Authorities have identified the victim of a hit-and-run earlier this month. According to Colorado Springs Police, on September 6th, a bicyclist was heading southbound in the northbound bike lane at Astrozon and Hancock Expressway when he was struck by a vehicle. The bicyclist is identified as 28-year-old Eduardo Ibanez-Charco. When officers arrived, Ibanez-Charco was deceased, and the unidentified vehicle had fled the scene. This is the 32nd fatal traffic crash this year in Colorado Springs.
