A jury has found Joshua Johnson guilty of first-degree murder in the death of his 17-year-old co-worker Riley Whitelaw. On Wednesday, Johnson was sentenced to life behind bars without the possibility of parole. In June of 2022, Riley was found brutally murdered in the breakroom at a local Walgreens. State patrol located Johnson the following day in the Walsenburg area. According to arrest papers, Riley requested a schedule change to avoid working with Johnson. However, after asking for additional hours, she ended up working with Johnson again.
