Authorities remove bodies from funeral home

STATE AND LOCAL INVESTIGATORS CONTINUED THE TASK OF MOVING THE REMAINS OF SOME 115 PEOPLE OUT OF A FUNERAL HOME IN PENROSE TUESDAY. THOSE REMAINS WERE DISCOVERED IMPROPERLY STORED LAST WEEK AT THE “RETURN TO NATURE” FUNERAL HOME NEAR PENROSE. OUR PARTNERS AT KKTVV 11 NEWS TALKED TO ONE WOMAN WHO BELIEVES THE REMAINS OF HER HUSBAND ARE AMONG THE 115 PEOPLE. MARY SIMONS SAYS HER HUSBAND DARYL PASSED AWAY IN AUGUST. SHE LIKE MANY, ARE WAITING FOR ANSWERS. SOME OF THE REMAINS HAVE BEEN BROUGHT TO THE EL PASO COUNTY CORONERS OFFICE. THEY RELEASED A STATEMENT SAYING THEY WILL IDENTIFY THE REMAINS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE SO THEY CAN RETURN THEM TO THEIR LOVED ONES. CHARGES MAY BE FILED AGAINST THE OWNERS OF THE FUNERAL HOME.
