Colorado is leading Attorney’s General from 42 states in a lawsuit against Meta, previously known as Facebook. The complaint alleges Meta knowingly designed and deployed harmful features on Instagram and other social media platforms purposefully aimed at addicting children and teens. The a-g’s claim Meta’s practices violate state consumer protection laws and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
